The Rundown: Voyager’s return to the Alpha Quadrant will take a dangerous turn from a familiar foe.

The USS Voyager has finally returns to the Alpha Quadrant and Janeway prepares to meet with the Pathfinder team as they get ready to return to Earth. Tuvok continues to deal with his growing neurological issue while Tom’s father boards the ship to see his son and meet his granddaughter. Tuvok begins to have strange visions as well that become evident when Voyager’s routine arrival at a docking station leads to the ship being commandeered and leaving the area.
Fearing a possible changeling infiltration, Janeway decides to use the Doctor to test the Pathfinder team and they discover that they are genetically modified members of a former threat from their time in the Delta Quadrant. A threat that has come for Voyager and is preparing for an invasion of Earth.
The Story: Susan and Tilly Bridges create an engaging, thrilling and thoroughly entertaining story in this first issue. Voyager was always one of the most unique shows in the Star Trek lexicon and this story does a great job of showing that the journey home isn’t the end of their adventures and that the consequences of their time in the Delta Quadrant are far reaching. This is gearing up to be an intense and gripping story and I cannot wait to see where it goes next.
The Art: Hernandez delivers stunning art throughout the issue. I love the visual style Hernandez brings to this issue and how beautifully detailed the characters and their environments are.
